I was a Principal Investigator (PI) to NASA Nanosatellite Project called SporeSat from 2011-2014 while I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Purdue University, USA.
My Boss during that time was Prof. David Marshall Porterfield who entrusted me with the privilege to lead the satellite project. I was shocked but I never hesitate to accept the position.
Being a PI to the project was a privilege. My team collaborated closely with NASA Ames Research Center, and I was responsible for the science component, where my team developed a lab-on-a-chip device called the bioCD that measured extracellular calcium ions from single cell fern spores in microgravity.
